India’s “Operation Sindoor” Hits 9 Terrorist Camps in Pakistan: NSA Ajit Doval Confirms Strategic Victory
New Delhi, July 11: In a significant
development that underscores India's proactive stance on national security,
National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval has confirmed that Indian forces
successfully struck nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan as part of a
classified military initiative termed "Operation
Sindoor." This revelation, made during a high-level national
security briefing, has sent a strong message about India’s zero-tolerance
approach to terrorism.
Ajit
Doval, known for his sharp strategic mind and no-nonsense approach to
cross-border threats, described the operation as a “surgical and precise
response to mounting terrorist threats originating across the border.” The
action reportedly took place over multiple days and targeted high-value
terrorist infrastructure that intelligence agencies had been monitoring for
months.
“India
will not tolerate the use of foreign soil for terror activities against our
people. Under Operation Sindoor, our forces neutralized key terror launchpads
with minimal collateral damage,” said NSA Doval during the briefing.
The Planning Behind Operation Sindoor
Sources
close to the Ministry of Defence revealed that Operation Sindoor was
meticulously planned over weeks with close coordination between the
Intelligence Bureau (IB), Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), and military
intelligence. The operation’s name — Sindoor,
symbolizing sacrifice and valor — was chosen to honor the martyrs who lost
their lives in previous terror attacks.
The
targets included known camps run by terror outfits such as Lashkar-e-Taiba
(LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and other splinter groups operating out of
Pakistan-occupied territories. High-resolution satellite imagery, drone
surveillance, and human intelligence played a crucial role in pinpointing the
exact locations of the terror bases.
India's Strategic Shift
While
India has carried out similar operations in the past — including the 2016
surgical strikes post-Uri and the 2019 Balakot airstrikes — Operation Sindoor
is being termed as more expansive and surgical in its nature. Unlike previous
operations which were acknowledged much later, this time the announcement came
swiftly and directly from the NSA, indicating India’s intent to maintain a
transparent but firm security posture.
According
to defence analysts, this shift signals a bolder India that is willing to
strike proactively and communicate its successes to deter future threats.
Political and Public Reactions
The
announcement has sparked widespread political and public support. Prime
Minister Narendra Modi hailed the operation, stating that the armed forces have
once again proved their unmatched bravery and precision.
“The
nation stands united and proud. Every Indian sleeps peacefully knowing our
brave men and women are guarding our borders with utmost courage,” the Prime
Minister posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Opposition
leaders, while seeking more details in a closed-door parliamentary briefing,
have broadly supported the operation, acknowledging the importance of a unified
national front against terrorism.
Pakistan’s Response
As
expected, Pakistan has denied the occurrence of any such strikes on its soil,
calling the announcement a "fabrication" and warning of diplomatic
repercussions. However, international observers note that Pakistan’s past
denials have often been contradicted by independent satellite imagery and media
reports.
Global
powers, including the United States and France, have emphasized the need for
responsible behavior by all nations and reiterated their support for India's
right to self-defense in the face of terrorism.
Conclusion
Operation
Sindoor marks a bold chapter in India's counter-terrorism strategy. It
showcases not just military precision but also the government’s intent to
confront threats directly and effectively. NSA Ajit Doval’s open confirmation
adds credibility and sends a clear signal to adversaries: India will act, and
it will act decisively.
