RRB Technician Recruitment 2025: 6,238 Vacancies Announced for Grade-I and Grade-III Posts
New Delhi | June 29, 2025:
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a fresh notification for the recruitment of technicians across various Indian Railways zones. As per CEN No. 02/2025, a total of 6,238 vacancies have been announced under the Technician Grade-I (Signal) and Technician Grade-III categories.
The application process will be conducted entirely online and will begin from June 28, 2025, through the official RRB websites. Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications by July 28, 2025 (11:59 PM).
Vacancy Details
According to the official notification, the distribution of posts is as follows:
Technician Grade-I Signal – 183 posts
Technician Grade-III – 6,055 posts
Total Vacancies – 6,238

Who Can Apply?
Educational Qualifications
Applicants must have completed ITI (Industrial Training Institute) or Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) in relevant trades from a recognized institution.
Note: Diploma or Degree in Engineering is not accepted in lieu of ITI unless specifically stated.
Age Criteria (as on 01.07.2025)
Technician Grade-I Signal: 18 to 33 years
Technician Grade-III: 18 to 30 years
Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-servicemen, and other categories as per government norms.
Application Fee
Category Fee Refund (on appearing in CBT)
General / OBC ₹500 ₹400 (after deducting bank charges)
SC / ST / PwBD / Female / Transgender / Minorities / EBC ₹250 Full refund (after bank charges)
The fee must be paid online through net banking, UPI, debit or credit cards. No offline payment will be accepted.

Selection Procedure
The selection process includes:
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
2. Document Verification (DV)
3. Medical Examination
There will be negative marking of 1/3rd for each wrong answer in the CBT. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for further rounds via email and SMS.
Pay Scale
Technician Grade-I Signal: ₹29,200 per month (Level 5 of 7th CPC)
Technician Grade-III: ₹19,900 per month (Level 2 of 7th CPC)
How to Apply
Candidates must apply online only through the official websites of RRBs. During registration, they will need to create an account and select one RRB and one pay level.
Multiple applications for the same pay level will lead to disqualification.
All communication will be made via the registered mobile number and email ID. Candidates are advised to keep their Aadhaar number and documents ready for identity verification.
