Who Can Apply? Eligibility Criteria Explained
1. Educational Qualification:
Applicants must possess a BE/BTech degree in relevant engineering streams from a recognized university.
Final year students are also eligible, provided they complete the degree before April 1, 2026.
For SSCW (Non-Tech) entries, candidates with a graduate degree in any discipline can apply.
2. Age Limit:
The candidate’s age should be between 20 to 27 years as of April 1, 2026.

Selection Process: No Written Exam
Unlike many other defense recruitment schemes, the 66th SSC Technical Entry does not involve a written examination. The recruitment process includes:
Shortlisting of Applications: Based on academic marks and relevant criteria.
SSB Interview: A rigorous five-day selection process that includes psychological tests, group tasks, personal interviews, and more.
Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB Board will undergo a comprehensive medical fitness test.

After Commissioning: The pay scale as per the 7th Pay Commission will apply. Officers will start at Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500) per month excluding allowances.
Gross Annual CTC: Approximately ₹17 to ₹18 lakh annually, including various allowances.
