Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality

Candidates must be either:

a citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, or
a person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries with the intention of settling permanently in India.

2. Educational Qualification (As on 01.08.2025)

IT Officer: 4-year Engineering/Technology degree in Computer Science/IT/ECE or equivalent.
Agricultural Field Officer: Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/Veterinary Science/Fisheries/Dairy Technology etc.
Rajbhasha Adhikari: PG Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at Graduation level or vice versa.
Law Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council.
HR/Personnel Officer: Graduate and full-time PG in HR/IR/Personnel Management/Labour Law.
Marketing Officer: Graduate and full-time MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM in Marketing.

3. Age Limit (As on 01.08.2025)

Minimum: 20 years
Maximum: 30 years
Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.

Selection Process

The IBPS SO recruitment process involves three phases:

Preliminary Examination (Online Objective Test)
Main Examination (Role-Specific Professional Knowledge Test)
Interview

Final selection will be based on combined performance in the main exam and interview. The prelims are qualifying in nature.

English Language – 50 Marks
Reasoning – 50 Marks
Quantitative Aptitude – 50 Marks

For Law and Rajbhasha Adhikari:

English Language – 50 Marks
Reasoning – 50 Marks
General Awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry – 50 Marks
